At the heart of LSP’s success lies around 1,000 highly skilled workforces which 80% are competent Vietnamese employees. The company also collaborates with its long-term business partners to hire around 800 additional workforces and around half are local hiring from Ba Ria Vung Tau residents. Since 2018, LSP has facilitated the recruitment of over 3,600 local BRVT residents, with over 1,100 currently employed within the company. Over 51 billion VND spending-to-date in people development
Recognizing that it is the early stage of the petrochemical industry in Vietnam, LSP has poured over 51 billion VND into employee training programs, equivalent to 700,000 man-hours, since 2018. In the operation phase from 2024, LSP will set budget around $1.3 million or 90,000 training man-hours annually dedicated to providing their workforce with technical knowledge, safety, and soft-side skills such as leadership. This commitment ensures that LSP’s employees remain at the forefront of their field, operating the complex machinery with expertise and confidence.

Collaboration with Educational Institutions
The company also actively collaborates with local educational institutions, such as Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology (BC Teach), Lilama 2 International Technology College, and PetroVietnam College, to co-develop training programs for its employees. Additionally, these partnerships allow LSP to identify and recruit promising talent from the local pool, ensuring a strong and skilled future workforce. The company is also designing an intensive technical training program for new operators to equip them with process descriptions and basic equipment knowledge.
