LSP Open House 2025 welcomed 100 local residents to state-of-the-art petrochemical complex

Long Son, Ho Chi Minh, 27th September 2025 – Long Son Petrochemicals or LSP, a leading green petrochemical manufacturer in Vietnam, hosted the “LSP Open House 2025” under the theme “Environmental Protection and Safe Operation”. The event welcomed the representatives from the Long Son People’s Committee, local authorities and 100 local residents of Long Son commune to visit the complex. During the program, the guests had the opportunity to join the complex’s tour and visit key operational areas, including the Central Control Building (CCB) of the Olefins Plant, the Wastewater Discharge Point and the Emergency Communication Center (ECC). The tour was designed to provide the community with a clearer understanding of LSP daily operations with highest concern on safety, environment, and the well-being of surrounding communities.

Mr. Siripan Artnonla, Manufacturing Director – Downstream, shared: “For LSP, we committed to conducting our business in line with sustainable development focusing on ESG or environment, social, and governance. The LSP Open House 2025 is not only an opportunity for us to share information with our important neighbors, but also a chance for LSP to listen, to connect, and to reaffirm our commitment to being a responsible and caring corporate citizen. We aim to work hand in hand with the local authorities and communities for a safe, green, and sustainable future of Long Son commune.”

For LSP, we have invested more than 100 million USD in advanced technologies and digitalization to ensure both operational safety and environmental protection. For example, to ensure clean air, we have installed low-pollution burners and a 24/7 online air monitoring system at furnaces and boilers. Moreover, we also have an advanced air quality monitoring system at fence lines. For clean water discharge, we use a double-protection wastewater treatment system with continuous online monitoring. We’ve also installed Vietnam’s first smokeless enclosure ground flare, which minimizes noise, smoke, and flame impact during operations. The 24/7 Emergency Communication Center and the high-tech firefighting solutions, like the Big Gun and Foam Tanker system, can spray up to more than 100 meters to respond to large-scale tank fires. These cutting-edge technologies reinforce LSP’s commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees, the community, and the environment.

Beyond adhering to the international standard in complex operation, LSP recognizes the importance of contributing to social development. LSP has collaborated with local authorities and business partners to enhance the quality of life for people, especially in Long Son commune. The strategic social contribution focuses on six key areas: Cultural preservation, Environmental protection, Safety, Health & Well-being, Youth development, and Economic prosperity. In 2025, LSP has collaborated with 39 partners for the “Sharing for Society” project which aims to contribute meaningful initiatives for local communities.
