Why is ethane a strengthening hero?
Ethane is high-quality and inexpensive, increasing LSP’s raw material options from two to three! These include naphtha, propane, and the newcomer, ethane. This allows for managing costs to be as competitive as possible at any given time. Ethane also helps reduce carbon dioxide in the production process.
3 Missions to follow:
- Import ethane from the USA.
- Secure a long-term ethane transport ship charter.
- Construct an ethane receiving terminal.
This project will be completed in 2027, using SCG’s internal funding of US$700 million, primarily for the construction of the ethane receiving terminal and related infrastructure. This is a significant game-changer, making the business even stronger and more capable in the long run.
