LSP Joined Hands with Partners Awarded 120 Scholarships to Vulnerable Students in Long Son Commune on the School Opening Ceremony

Long Son Commune, Ho Chi Minh, 5th September 2025 – Long Son Petrochemicals or LSP collaborated with Northern Stars Equipment And Technology Services Co., Ltd and Vina E&C Investment and Construction JSC awarded 120 scholarships to vulnerable students in Long Son commune, with a total value of 100 million VND during the school opening ceremonies. The recipient schools included Huong Duong Kindergarten, Tuoi Tho Kindergarten, Long Son 1 Primary School, Long Son 2 Primary School, and Bach Dang Secondary School.

“At LSP, we believe that empowering youth, particularly through education, is essential, as they will become the future workforce driving the country’s development. Therefore, LSP has collaborated with local authorities, associations and our business partners to implement various programs that support local youth to sustain their education, as well as supporting their physical and mental well-being. These scholarships somehow bring encouragement, inspiring the students to overcome challenges and excel further in their studies.” Ms. Nattinee Amornpong, Chief Finance Officer, shared at the School Opening Ceremony at Bach Dang school.

LSP has granted annual scholarships to vulnerable students in Long Son Commune at the start of each school year since 2010. Over the past 15 years, the company has supported more than 900 students, with a total financial contribution of 550 million VND.

Besides, LSP also collaborated with its parent company, SCG, and its partners in various initiatives aimed at empowering youth in Long Son Commune and the surrounding region. These efforts include scholarships for the new school year, support for the BR-VT Association for Promoting Education and LSP Sharing the Dream Scholarship for university and college levels to students in Long Son and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. In addition to providing financial support, LSP has introduced initiatives to enhance educational opportunities for local youth. One such program is the English Club, which has been conducted in previous years to help Long Son residents, particularly the younger generation, improve their English skills and recognize the importance of the language. Starting in April this year, the club’s activities have been held regularly every Sunday, with support from volunteers from LSP and the Vung Tau English Club. By August, the program successfully conducted 20 sessions, drawing nearly 700 participants.
