A Playground to Discover and Support Young Talents
- Started from the idea in 2019—to create a summer playground for children passionate about football—has transformed into one of Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s most anticipated annual sporting events. The BRT TV Cup, organized by Ba Ria-Vung Tau Radio and Television Station in collaboration with local departments and organizations, has become a highlight of the summer for kids and their families.
- This tournament is more than just a competition; it’s a meaningful playground where young players can pursue their passion for football, develop essential values like teamwork, discipline, determination, and dream big.
- Over the past five seasons, more than 12,000 players from U11 and U13 teams have taken part, with over 40 outstanding young players identified and given opportunities to train at football academies and youth training centers across the country.
- Names like Dinh Quang Kiet, To Minh Loc, Hoa Xuan Tin, Hoang Trung Khai, and Nguyen Hoang Gia Nguyen have become synonymous with promise. Many of them have represented Vietnam on national youth teams or become key players for professional clubs.
- In 2024, the tournament took a significant step forward by partnering with the LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy. This partnership, running from 2024 to 2029, opens even more doors for young players to receive professional training and pursue their dreams in football.
- For Ba Ria-Vung Tau, the BRT TV Cup is not just a sports event; it’s a tradition, a community effort, and a symbol of what’s possible when passion meets purpose. It serves as a solid foundation for young players to grow both on and off the field, and it continues to inspire the community with its positive impact.
