SCGC and LSP hosted “Green Day” event at Long Son 2 primary school to promote waste segregation at source

 Long Son commune, 10 April 2023 – SCGC and LSP conducted “Green day” event at Long Son 2 primary school in order to promote waste segregation at source among students. Participants were encouraged to segregate waste which can bring to redeem for gifts. There were around 260 kg of recyclable waste collected at the event. Waste segregation at source is one step to bring back high-quality waste to the recycle process, supporting circular economy model of make-use-return.

This activity is part of a mission to develop a pilot waste segregation model for schools of public-private-collaboration (PPC), contributing to the circular economy in plastic waste management in Vietnam that SCGC and LSP have been collaborating with Unilever Vietnam, Dow Vietnam and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
