
To celebrate the World Environment Day on 5 June 2022, LSP collaborated with Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, Vung Tau city Long Son commune and business partners in the waste management chain held up a kick-off event for “Waste Segregation at Source in Residential Area, An Action Towards Circular Economy” at LSPC head office.
The program is part of the company’s commitment to Sustainable Development and the commitment under the framework of Public Private Collaboration (PPC) towards a circular economy in plastic waste management in Vietnam.
The program will pilot at Hamlet 1 which all residents will be educated and encouraged to segregate the wastes into 3 types which are green bin for organic waste, orange bin for recyclables waste and yellow bin for other types of waste. Organic waste will be used as animal feed and compost to make fertilizer. The remaining garbage is transported to the local waste collection unit.
mGreen mobile application is brought to used for collecting waste segregation data which allow participants to be able to easily track their transaction in real time. Recycled waste can exchange for cash or gifts or bonus points at our partner shops in Long Son Commune.
