LSP Collaborated with Local Authorities and Partner to Conduct the Community Health Care for Residents in Long Son, Promoting Better Health for a Better Life

Long Son Commune, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, November 2nd, 2024, – Long Son Petrochemicals or LSP, a leading green petrochemical manufacturer in Vietnam, collaborated with the local authorities, People’s Committee of Long Son commune (Long Son PC), and Long Son International Port Joint Stock Company Limited to organize the 10th Community Health Care program in 2024. This year the program focused on providing liver health checks for more than 400 residents in Long Son commune with a budget of 800 million VND. 

According to statistics from previous health check programs and health data provided by Long Son Clinic, liver health is a major concern for the residents of Long Son commune, accounting for 34% of the top five main diseases. Therefore, the 10th Community Health Care program, held during 2 – 3 November 2024, focuses specifically on liver health, including in-depth examination of liver diseases as well as providing basic medicine for people with liver diseases. It will encompass liver health screenings, health check results, and educational sessions on maintaining liver health, all conducted by highly skilled medical staff.

Ms. Nattinee Amornpong, Chief Finance Officer of LSP, spoke at the event that “With an aim to create a better life for communities in Long Son commune, LSP has initiated various social contribution programs including health and well-being as we believe that good health means good life.  This year, LSP collaborated with local authorities and Long Son International Port Joint Stock Company Limited to hold the 10th community health care program. Given the rising concerns surrounding liver health, this year’s program will provide essential resources and knowledge to help residents maintain their liver health effectively. We hope that this program will be one part to create a healthier lifestyle and identify potential health issues early, ensuring that participants receive timely medical treatment when needed.”

With a belief that good health is fundamental to a good life, LSP has initiated many programs to promote good health for the communities. This includes a community healthcare program, which has been conducted since 2017, providing advanced health checks for more than 2,100 people in Long Son commune, with a total budget of around 6.4 billion VND.
