
Long Son commune, 27 May 2023 – LSP together with Ba Ria – Vung Tau province successfully conducted the first Emergency Response Drill at Tank Farm Unit. There were nearly 500 people from 40 agencies in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province participating in the drill.
The drill was set up to strengthen firefighting skills and tactics as well as commanding and cooperating between LSP and relevance organizations in the province to prepare for a safe operation and safety of all related stakeholders. The drill also aimed to enhance understanding and effectiveness of LSP Emergency Management Team in managing crisis situation with both internal and external forces. Besides, this drill also set up to raise awareness and understanding as well as call for collaboration from communities around the complex in case of emergency in order to be able to live happily and safely together.
Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee of the emergency response drill at LSP, emphasized that this drill is important to improve fire safety efficiency. It provided an opportunity to evaluate and demonstrate the “4 on-site” capabilities when incidents occur in agencies and units. It was a practical measure to disseminate and raise awareness of knowledge, skills in firefighting response at all levels, organizations and among individual. The aim was to minimize damages caused by fire, explosions, and accidents.
