Ho Chi Minh city, 16 June 2023 – SCGC and LSP, led by Mr. Thanachai Piyasrithong, ESG Advocacy Manager of SCGC, joined the Public Private Collaboration (PPC) annual workshop 2023. There are Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Unilever Vietnam, Dow Vietnam and 21 members of PPC participated in this event.
The workshop is set up to strengthen PPC’s goals, vision and mission of building a circular economy for plastic waste management in Vietnam. At the event, all members of PPC went through PPC’s achievements in 2022 and discussed the action plan for 2023 – 2024 period. PPC’s upcoming goal is to strengthen the collaboration among the members to implement further collective projects, which can be reported to the government for the duplication across Vietnam.
Mr. Thanachai Piyasrithong also presented about Public Private Partnership (PPP), a model about sustainable plastic and waste management in Thailand and lesson learnt from this project.
