I. Contribution to the development of local community
Contribution to local community from 2010 with total amount approximate 2.5 billion VND through activities as follow:
– Grant scholarships to pupils, support to Education Encourage Association (60 scholarships per year to pupils at Tuoi Tho kindergarten, Long son 1 & 2 primary schools and Bach Dang secondary school)
– Contribute to build Martyr cemetery, annual support 5,000,000VND in Martyr’s Day & support to Political Prisoners Foundation
– Support local religious, Ba Ong temple, Long Son pagoda, Nha Lon culture heritage (5,000,000VND at annual ceremony)
– Contribution working days at traditional medicine clinic (HĆ°ng Long temple)
– Support and visit local authorities (10,000,000VND at New Year)
– Tet gift to poor people (100 gifts/year – 500,000VND/gift)
– Disclosure recruitment positions of LSP, record the job seek of community
– Support local pupils join the Kick & Share program (50 pupils annually have football exchange with Hanoi football club players)

II. Support activities to Project Affected People
Implemented programs to support livelihood restoration of Project affected People follow developed social management plans such as Supplement Restoration Action Plan/Livelihood Restoration Action Plan; Community Development Action Plan, Community Grievance Management Plan, Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Project Induced In-Migration Management Plan.
Main support activities
– Support transition, relocation in the resettlement phase (house rental, support electricity, water fees, relocated Ba Ong temple, 32 aquatic farmers…). Total amount over 1 billion VND.
– Funding for building Charity house (2 houses/year – 30,000,000VND/house)
– Organize Finance Orientation program (289 households participated)
– Vocational training and job seeking for affected households. (Implemented 2 courses with 60 trainees)
– Disclose & consultation Project’s information
– Establish Grievance office to support affected people (Dec. 2014 inside LSPC area)
– Survey to update information of affected households (Total surveyed 525 households, among that is 435 P
1 households and 90 fence line households)
